Understanding this concern

Over time, the gradual decrease in collagen and in elastin is accompanied by changes in the deeper tissues. The facial oval sometimes becomes less defined, jowls appear and the submental area or the neck may lose firmness.

Skin laxity therefore does not simply correspond to a loss of volume. Skin quality, the position of the tissues, anatomy and the evolution of volumes together contribute to the changes in the face.

My approach consists in identifying what predominates before choosing a strategy. The aim is not to compensate systematically for laxity with volumising injections, at the risk of gradually weighing the face down.

Depending on the degree of laxity, different approaches may be proposed: collagen stimulators, biostimulation, thread lifts, radiofrequency, radiofrequency microneedling, HIFU and other medical technologies. These techniques may be combined when it is relevant to act at several depths.

This strategy also forms part of a preventive rationale: stimulating and preserving the quality of the tissues before laxity becomes too marked, rather than seeking to correct it at a late stage with more volume.

The aim: to preserve clearly defined contours, firmer skin and a harmonious face, without weighing it down or transforming it.
