After a procedure: the usual after-effects
Redness, oedema, tenderness or small bruises may form part of the normal after-effects of an aesthetic treatment. Knowing how to recognise them and adopting the right measures makes it possible to go through the first few days calmly.
After an aesthetic medicine procedure, the skin and the tissues may react in a transient way. The intensity and the duration of these manifestations vary according to the treatment carried out, the area treated and each patient.
The most frequent reactions
Redness, local tenderness, slight swelling or a few bruises may appear in the hours following the treatment. Depending on the procedure, a sensation of tightness, a sensation of warmth or a small temporary irregularity may also be observed.
These reactions usually diminish gradually over the following days.
The right measures
In the first few hours, it is recommended to follow the personalised instructions given to you after your treatment, to avoid handling the treated area unnecessarily, and to use the care products prescribed or advised.
Depending on the procedure carried out, certain activities, sun exposure, intense heat, sport or certain cosmetic products may be temporarily inadvisable.
