Polynucleotide injections
Micro-injections of polynucleotides aiming to support the quality, the hydration and the suppleness of the skin, following individual assessment.
Chains of purified nucleotides presented in the form of an injectable preparation, polynucleotides are placed in the skin by micro-injections, by means of a fine needle. My approach here addresses the quality of the skin, and not the correction of a volume; it aims to support the skin’s hydration and suppleness, without claiming to alter its architecture. Any effects are progressive and specific to each person, and no result can be announced in advance.
The session opens with a cleansing of the skin, then the product is placed point by point on the areas selected during the consultation. The number of sessions, their spacing and the duration of each appointment are defined case by case and are specified during the consultation, since every situation calls for its own measure. Discomfort may be felt during the procedure; I make a point of ensuring that comfort arrangements are discussed before we even begin.
This technique is considered when the request concerns the texture, the suppleness or the radiance of the skin. The face is concerned first and foremost; the eye contour, on account of the thinness of the skin in that area, may be the subject of a specific approach. Depending on the situation, the procedure may be offered on its own or form part of a broader course of care, and it is not indicated in every case.
After-effects may occur at the injection points, whether redness, swelling, bruises or tenderness, the intensity and the duration of which vary from one person to another. Less frequent complications exist, and they are set out before the procedure; anything unusual should be reported to the practice. A prior consultation remains mandatory, since it alone makes it possible to examine the skin, to look for contraindications, in particular pregnancy and breastfeeding, to explain how the session unfolds and the possible after-effects, and to check that the procedure is indeed indicated.
